Dr. Chung-Ying (Fred) Tsai is a dedicated licensed physical therapist and acupuncturist serving patients in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, NY. Since Dr. Tsai is one of the few providers who have both licenses in practicing Physical Therapy and Acupuncture. FOR ACUPUNCTURE: he is ONLY in-network Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shields, and MagnaCare. 

 

Dr. Tsai completed his bachelor's of physical therapy at National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan. He later completed a master's degree in physical therapy at the same institution before earning a second master's degree in physical therapy at New York University. He also had a master's degree of traditional oriental medicine at Pacific College in New York.

 

His specialties include orthopedic physical therapy and traditional Chinese style acupuncture. Dr. Tsai specializes in Chinese acupuncture, Chinese herb, acupressure, Chinese Tui-Na technique, Western osteopathic spinal manipulation, soft tissue release, and therapeutic exercise to address pain management (neck, shoulder, lower back, knee, and ankle joint or muscular pain), general fatigue, facial palsy, headache, dizziness & vertigo, insomnia, depression & anxiety, irregular menstruation, male conditions, menopause syndrome, weight management, etc. Dr. Tsai's understanding and compassionate demeanor help patients relax so they can receive all the benefits of quality physical therapy and acupuncture.
